Whale’s Tail Combo – Snorkel & Kayak Tour at Marino Ballena National Park

Experience the best of Marino Ballena National Park in one unforgettable adventure. This combo tour brings together ocean kayaking, snorkeling, a walk on the iconic Whale’s Tail, and a short mangrove estuary hike—all while learning about the park’s diverse ecosystems.

We begin with a smooth kayak launch through the small waves of Punta Uvita and paddle across the bay (about 40 minutes) toward the reef at the Whale’s Tail. There, you’ll enjoy 45–60 minutes of snorkeling as your guide points out vibrant marine life along the rock reef.

After snorkeling, we paddle to the Whale’s Tail itself—an incredible rock and sand formation visible only at low tide—where you’ll take a break and enjoy panoramic views. Then we paddle back to shore (about 20 minutes), riding the waves in with our kayaks.

Once on the beach, we continue with a short, scenic walk into a beautiful mangrove forest to learn about this essential and fascinating ecosystem.
